Zeta-Jones' passion for diamonds

Catherine Zeta-Jones insists diamonds are a girl's best friend, and was only convinced Michael Douglas was the man for her when he started lavishing her with jewellery.

The Chicago beauty believes loving words are all very well, but a man should splash out on a sparkler if he wants to impress.

She says: "Call me old-fashioned, but nothing says 'I love you' like a big old rock."
