Madonna has no time for friends

Pop superstar Madonna has been forced to sacrifice her social life in order to spend time with her family and maintain her successful career.

The Material Girl hitmaker struggles to make time for her husband Guy Richie and children Lourdes, eight, and Rocco, two, because of work commitments, but insists they are the next most important thing.

She says: "I get frustrated . I think I can manage my day and fit it all in. But it gets to eight o'clock and I go, 'S**t, I promised I would read to the kids.'

"The thing I have sacrificed here is a social life. I don't go out much. If I want to do my job, pay attention to my children and have a relationship with my husband, I don't have time to go out with my friends."
