Hollywood actor George Clooney will be $40,000 (€34,000) richer if stays single for another six years, after betting Nicole Kidman and Michelle Pfeiffer he will still be a childless singleton aged 50.

The Ocean's Eleven hunk has yet to settle down and start a family, despite dating a string of beauties including actress Renee Zellweger, Baywatch star Krista Allen and British TV presenter Lisa Snowdon since divorcing his first wife Talia Balsam in 1993.

And while reports claim he is currently looking for love, the 44-year-old heart-throb has a lucrative incentive to remain unattached.

He says: "They each bet $10,000 (€8,500) that I'd be a dad before I was 40. But I sent both of them back their cheques and said: 'Let's go double or nothing until I'm 50.'

"So I'll have to be careful with the ladies for the next six years. No wedding or kids."
