Well, sucking his thumb helps a lot; only the attempts to wean him off the habit don't.

Director Mills and a fine cast make more out of a slim proposition than it deserves but, then, it's not entirely about Justin (an excellent Pucci) and his wet thumb, it's about growing up and discovering responsibilities. And it's done as an off-beat teenage coming-of-age yarn with much charm.
