Romeo Beckham 'back in hospital'
David Beckham’s three-year-old son Romeo was today understood to have been readmitted to hospital after suffering convulsions for a second time in less than a week.
It is understood the England captain will stay overnight with Romeo and wife Victoria as he is kept in for tests.
The boy was rushed to Madrid’s La Paz hospital on Saturday night. It was understood to have been the second time in two months he had had convulsions.
His Real Madrid star father was pictured cradling him with Victoria outside the emergency ward.
Romeo was reportedly released after tests to rest at home but it is understood he was admitted again this morning after a recurrence of the convulsions.
A spokeswoman at La Paz hospital denied Romeo was currently being treated there.
Beckham today missed the start of preparations for Saturday’s World Cup qualifier with Austria to be with his son.
He was given permission to stay in Spain by England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson while his team-mates trained at Carrington in Manchester.
The midfielder is expected to join up with the squad tomorrow afternoon.
