Clapton eyes multi-million publishing deal
Veteran rocker Eric Clapton is offering the international rights of his chequered life story to the highest bidding publishing house - and he has already snubbed a staggering $6.4m (€5.1m).
The former Cream guitarist intends to land the biggest deal in rock memoir history, and promises the revealing results will be worth the phenomenal cost.
Clapton's literary agent Ed Victor, says: "Eric has known everybody and played with everybody.
"He has a terrific recall and a very dry wit. He will be very frank about his life."
