Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie feared her daughter Zahara Marley may be HIV positive when she first adopted the Ethiopian orphan.

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie feared her daughter Zahara Marley may be HIV positive when she first adopted the Ethiopian orphan.

Jolie adopted Zahara in July after seeing her in an Ethiopian orphanage, where it is believed her parents may have died from AIDS.

Soon after bringing Zahara to America for medical treatment, Jolie was relieved to discover the tot had been given the all clear.

She says: "We didn't know at first. I was terrified, but prepared, because it is something I think we should all be ready to take on."

The Oscar winner also has an adopted son, Maddox, four.
