Men are From Mars author: 'Aniston and Pitt were doomed'

Former Hollywood golden couple Brad Pittt and Jennifer Aniston's marriage was doomed from the start, according to best-selling author John Gray.

Relationship expert Gray, whose self-help book Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus was an international best-seller, claims he was unsurprised when Aniston filed for divorce from Pitt earlier this year, after just four and a half years of marriage.

Gray says: "Aniston and Pitt had very little chance of lasting. They started out like the prom king and queen. He was the sexiest man and she the sexiest woman. That kind of pressure makes it hard to make a relationship last."

And Gray, 53, doesn't believe Pitt will find lasting happiness with his Mr and Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie.

He explains: "They're always under the microscope. And he went from one relationship to another so fast that there was little chance to be alone and find his happiness again."
