Scott film falls short of heavenly
Ridley Scott’s Kingdom of Heaven (Fox) is a mish-mash of an epic that falls well short of the standard set by such as the illustrious El Cid and Ben-Hur.
Orlando Bloom is Balian, a blacksmith turned Crusader who is caught between his love for Sibylla (Eva Green) — a not very convincing affair — and a crumbling Crusader army on the verge of civil war as Saladin’s (Ghassan Massoud) Muslim army approaches Jerusalem.
