Late rocker Jimi Hendrix's childhood home has finally been saved from demolition following a four year battle, after authorities agreed on a new location at the last minute.

The Seattle, Washington, house will be now moved to a site opposite the cemetery where the Purple Haze star was buried following his death in September 1971.
