Life a cabaret for Renee

Newlywed Renee Zellweger is getting musical again - the actress is reportedly in negotiations to reprise Liza Minnelli's role in a remake of hit movie Cabaret.

The Oscar-winning Chicago star is the red hot favourite to step into Minnelli's shoes as performer Sally Bowles, according to www.skynews.com.

Zellweger tells the website: "I do love a challenge as an actress and this would be one of the biggest."

It is believed the remake will stick to the same storyline as the original - that of a club entertainer who romances two men as the Nazi Party rises to power in pre-World War Two Berlin, Germany.

The new movie will reportedly feature classic tunes from the original and new songs.
