Diabetic Rea misses race

Singer Chris Rea was forced to pull out of a 24-hour motor race in England on Saturday after an infection caused him to become seriously ill.

The Road To Hell hitmaker - who is diabetic - was due to take part in a practice session, driving a mini cooper at Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire, when he was rushed to hospital and put on an antibiotic drip.
