Ali Hewson startled by new fame

Bono's wife Ali Hewson is ruing one side-effect to the success of her new clothing company - she has lost her anonymity.

Hewson is the figurehead of ethical clothing line Edun, which was launched to support communities in the developing world - but raising its profile has forced her to step into the limelight.

She says: "I knew that if we really wanted to make a difference with this company, that would be an important part.

"I didn't have any other skills to be honest. I don't regret it. I just get a fright when somebody recognises me in America - that's never happened before."
