U2 play their part in Katrina fundraiser
U2 have joined a host of celebrities to help raise money for the thousands of families left homeless by Hurricane Katrina.
The massive charity concert was screened across the United States last night.
Billions of viewers tuned in for an hour long concert and telethon that featured Sheryl Crowe, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.
All proceeds from the event are going to the American Red Cross.
Bono and the band are also due to take part in an MTV charity event that is being hosted tonight.
