How can you explain a joke; so many times and in so many ways? And does it stay funny?

Provenza takes a well-known, if dodgy, joke and places it in the hands of a group of comedians who tell it in their individual styles.

Interestingly enough, it works; well, sort of. It is, as Ulsterman Frank Carson has it, the way you tell ‘em. And there are certainly a multitude of ways in which to tell a joke, the punchline of which is the film’s title.
