Rod Stewart ordered to pay €1.6m for cancelled Vegas show
A US jury has decided that rock star Rod Stewart should pay a Las Vegas casino £1.1m (€1.6m) plus interest for a cancelled show.
The seven-member jury found unanimously that Stewart should not have kept an advance he was paid for the Rio hotel-casino show in December 2000 after he said he was unable to perform due to throat surgery several months earlier.
