The Foo Fighters confirmed today they will return to Ireland for a December concert after headlining this year’s 70,000 strong Oxegen festival.

The Foo Fighters confirmed today they will return to Ireland for a December concert after headlining this year’s 70,000 strong Oxegen festival.

Frontman Dave Grohl will take to the stage at Dublin’s Point Theatre on Tuesday, December 20.

Tickets, priced from €44.50, will go on sale on Saturday, September 10 at 9am.

The Foo Fighters’ fifth album ’In Your Honour’, which was released last June, has hit double platinum sales in Ireland.

Scottish art-rockers Franz Ferdinand have also confirmed they will rock the Point Theatre on November 18.

The Glasgow-based four-piece band, which recently played Lansdowne Road as part of the BudRising Festival, will also play the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on November 19.

Franz Ferdinand scooped the prestigious Mercury music prize with their debut album and their new album ’You Could Have It So Much Better…With Franz Ferdinand’ will be released in Ireland on September 30.

Tickets, which are priced from €33.50, will go on sale on Saturday, September 3 at 9am.
