Young people want to look like Brad and Jen, says survey

Jennifer Aniston is the celebrity most women wish they looked like, a new survey revealed today.

More than one-quarter (28%) of women said they would love to resemble the Friends star. Next on the list were Sienna Miller and Keira Knightley, followed by Victoria Beckham.

British TV channel Five quizzed 16-34 year olds for their new show Don’t Get Me Started!.

Only 5% of women questioned named curvy Charlotte Church. Jools Oliver, Kate Moss and Abi Titmuss also made the list.

When it comes to celebrity men, Aniston’s soon-to-be-ex husband Brad Pitt was the top choice.

Jude Law, David Beckham and Robbie Williams were also mentioned, along with Rio Ferdinand, Calum Best and Gavin Henson.

Just 1% of men said they wished they looked like Pete Doherty.

In the third episode of Don’t Get Me Started!, presenter Sam Delaney argues that young people are obsessed with looking like celebrities.

“The eccentricity and imagination that once made Britain the global capital of youth culture has been replaced by mindless celebrity obsession,” he said.

The programme will be broadcast on September 6.
