Melissa Etheridge, Kanye West and Martha Stewart are among the list of stars set to give lectures on college cable network mtvU.
The stars will appear on Stand In, which showcases celebrities as surprise university lecturers and is broadcasted in dormitories at 730 colleges across America.
West is expected to talk about music composition, while Etheridge will share details of her recent breast cancer scare with a health class.
Bosses at mtvU are currently trying to find an agricultural school where lifestyle guru Stewart can lecture about landscaping.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres, cousin of actress Lauren Bacall, will also be included on the roster, meeting with students studying the Middle East.
