Kings of Leon to close Belfast festival

US rockers The Kings of Leon will bring the curtain down on a major Belfast music festival tonight.

Dance veterans Faithless and Liverpudlians The Coral will also top the bill at the annual Tennents ViTal event in the city’s Botanic Gardens.

Last night Brit Award winners the Scissor Sisters and Franz Ferdinand thrilled thousands of revellers.

Maroon 5, Welsh songstress Jem and upcoming local band Leya completed the bill.

The Black Velvets and The Futureheads will open day two of the festival before The Coral and Faithless take to the stage.

The Kings of Leon, whose infectious blues-laced rock has won critical acclaim, will close the event on their Belfast debut.
