Dark Water: The meaning is lost in translation
Dark Water
Based on a Japanese horror, this is an example of Hollywood losing the plot in translation.
Connelly plays a separated mother who finds her new home a frightening place of creaks, strange happenings and leaking dark water.
You just can’t get a decent plumber when you need one!
The sad thing here is that it’s not a scary film, it doesn’t know quite what sort of film it wants to be, the plot is full of holes and only Connelly turns in a decent performance, while being swamped by dark clichés.
