Another l960s TV throwback, with Kidman playing the cute, nose-twitching witch Samantha trying to live a quiet suburban life as an ordinary housewife.

Here, in an interesting plot entry into the film, Ferrell plays a struggling actor in an up-dated re-make of the original Bewitched and picks on the unknown Kidman as his co-star … only she really is a witch.

Complicated or what?

Alas, it’s a surprisingly charmless film, based on a poor script and handled weakly by director Ephron. A lot more twitching would have been required to save this disappointing effort.
