Poor directing leaves Me and You cold
Me and You and Everyone We Know
No amount of solid acting, as we have here, can hide the fact that the writer-director (July) isn’t quite sure what the film is trying to say.
We have here an ensemble piece of emotional turmoil but nowhere is there any indication that the plot is actually heading in a clear-cut direction.
Some of the characters appear initially as interesting, as full of possibilities, but are then abandoned … characters in search of a plot.
