Pop star Jessica Simpson plans to avoid deep, dark movie roles - because she's on a mission to make people happy.

The Irresistible singer, who unveiled her movie debut as Daisy Duke in the comedy The Dukes Of Hazard this week, admits she has no intention of taking her acting in a more serious direction.
