Coogan's marriage ended in court

Comedian Steve Coogan’s marriage to Caroline Hickman came to an end at the London Divorce Courts today.

The 33-year-old was granted a “quickie” undefended divorce by District Judge Maple on the grounds that the marriage had irretrievably broken down because of his admitted unreasonable behaviour.

Coogan, 39, who became a star in the role of Alan Partridge, married Caroline in December 2002 shortly after they got back together after splitting up when he had a fling with a lap dancer.

They parted after just 16 months.

She moved out of their home in East Sussex and now lives in north west London.
