Prince set to steal Robbie's crown at Tussauds

A waxwork of Prince William is to go on show at Madame Tussauds. Organisers at the tourist attraction in London are predicting its first model of the 23-year-old royal will take over from pop star Robbie Williams in the women’s affection stakes.

William was unable to sit personally for the waxwork so the figure was crafted using photographs.

A spokeswoman for Madame Tussauds said: “Robbie Williams is currently the most popular male heart-throb in the attraction but we expect Prince William will steal his crown.

“The Royal Family is extremely popular at Madame Tussauds and we’re confident William will be no exception.”

William, who will be dressed in a lounge suit, will join grandmother the Queen and his father Prince Charles in the World Stage area of the museum.

The 6ft 3in waxwork, which took three months to make, will be unveiled on August 3.
