Rumours of Springsteen contract row

There are reports of rumblings at Sony, where Bruce Springsteen is in the middle of contract re-negotiations with his long time label.

Spies told New York newspapers that Bruce and his lawyer Allen Grubman are asking for a €36m five-record deal, but Sony boss Andy Lack isn’t so sure.

“Andy is wary of paying him so much because his last three albums have not sold tremendously well. But Bruce is one of Sony’s biggest artists, so he needs to keep him,” one spy said.
