Star Trek legend James Doohan, who played Scotty in the original television series, died today aged 85.

Star Trek legend James Doohan, who played Scotty in the original television series, died today aged 85.

Canadian-born Doohan died of pneumonia and Alzheimer's disease at his home in Washington state, his agent said.
