Douglas' wife knew Kirk couldn't be faithful

Kirk Douglas' wife Anne learned to live with the movie legend's infidelities because she grew up believing men are incapable of being faithful to their wives.

While many marriages would have crumbled, Anne Douglas merely insisted on her wayward husband telling her about his conquests, rather than trying to keep them from her.

She says: "I don't think that many men are faithful anyway. I said: 'If you tell me, 'It's because it's somebody in the movie, OK,' but if you don't tell me (at all), I will consider that something more

serious."
