Connelly stunned by Stevie meeting at Live 8

Actress Jennifer Connolly enjoyed a "religious" moment backstage at the Philadelphia Live 8 concert last when she met her idol Stevie Wonder for the first time.

The Oscar-winner was wandering around backstage when she spotted her hero in his trailer and started "loitering" to get close to him.

She says: "I was like a fan, fumbling… when someone came up to me and said: 'Hi, I work with Stevie, would you like to come and say hello?' I am like: 'Yeah.'

"I go up the stairs and go in (to his trailer) and I had sort of a religious experience. He hugged me and I was so tongue-tied. The first thing I said was: 'You're huge… I mean this is huge.'

"I was completely starstruck, which I've never experienced before. I was teary... He's really a legend. I've met lots of famous people and I don't really think about it. I couldn't talk. I felt like such an idiot."
