Writer-director Marshall's follow-up to the acclaimed Dog Soldiers, this time focused on a group of women who find themselves trapped in a dark and deadly dangerous cave.

It's a tightly-handled drama full of exciting and terrifying twists as the expedition, whose members don't exactly come as well-adjusted types, meets strange creatures who have adapted to life in the gloom.

The playing of a fine cast is excellent and while the plotting isn't original there's still enough to turn the knuckles white-ish.
