Baby joy for Emmerdale star

Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter gave birth to a baby girl today.

Lola Grace was born at 6am weighing 7lbs 7oz.

She is the first baby for Pargeter, 28, who plays Emmerdale’s Chastity Dingle, and her fiance Rudi Coleano.

The actress said: “It was a long, hard labour but Lola is beautiful and we are both thrilled. She has got my lips and Rudi’s nose.

“We would like to thank the midwife team at Leeds General Infirmary who were absolutely fantastic.”

Pargeter will return to the ITV1 show this autumn.

Her Emmerdale co-star and close friend Sammy Winward, who plays Katie Sugden, also became a mum two weeks ago.

Winward gave birth to baby Mia on June 12.
