Four in a row for Crazy Frog

The Crazy Frog today held on to the number one spot in the UK singles chart for a fourth week.

The ringtone reworking of Axel F, Harold Faltermeyer’s theme to the 1980s Beverly Hills Cop film starring Eddie Murphy, is the first mobile phone tune to make it into the charts.

It saw off James Blunt, who climbed from number six to two with You’re Beautiful, while another climber – Audio Bullys featuring Nancy Sinatra – gained four places to take the number three slot with Shot You Down.

Despite losing out to the Crazy Frog in the singles race at the end of last month, Coldplay has hung on to the top slot in the album charts for a second week with X&Y.

The record knocked Don’t Believe The Truth, by fellow Brit band Oasis, off the top spot last Sunday.

This week’s second place went to new entry In Your Honour by the Foo Fighters, while James Blunt’s album Back To Bedlam moved up one place to number three.
