Fans up in arms over Lassie star

That darn dog - Lassie - seems to be causing trouble on the Irish set of the re-make of the 1940s Lassie Come Home.

Fans of the popular film and TV series claim the mutt being used isn't a descendent of the original four-legged star, which all screen Lassies have been.

And the fans are calling for a boycott of the Charles Sturridge film when it's released, saying: "We will not accept a substitute Lassie".
