Coldplay inspired to scrap album by Oasis

Rockers Coldplay felt compelled to scrap everything they had recorded for new album X&Y and start again after watching fellow Brits Oasis confess they had done the same thing.

Frontman Chris Martin fears he would have continued and put out a far inferior product to the one that's currently getting rave reviews had it not been for Oasis' documentary about the making of their classic debut Definitely Maybe.
