Moulin Rouge! Star Nicole Kidman has pinpointed the perfect way to avoid cheesy chat-up lines at the hands of lusty men - she refuses to go to nightclubs.

The statuesque redhead, who has been romantically linked to Lenny Kravitz and rapper Q-Tip since her 2001 divorce from Tom Cruise, admits she feels "ridiculous" trying to socialise in noisy clubs, so she steers clear of them.
