Oxegen sells out in record time

Tickets for the Oxegen music festival - headlined by Foo Fighters - have sold out, a record six weeks before the event.

The full line-up for the multi stage festival weekend has now been confirmed. Artists such as Green Day, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Snoop Dogg, Prodigy, and Keane will perform at Punchestown on Saturday 9 and Sunday July 10.

"For Oxegen to sell out so far in advance in its short history is an incredible achievement,” said Denis Desmond of festival promoters MCD.

“It goes to show that the event has already established itself as one of the most important events in the Irish music calendar.”

The two year old festival, which will be broadcast across Europe by MTV, joins the list of summer sell-outs by such artists as Neil Diamond (Lansdowne Road, June 11), U2 (Croke Park, June 24, 25, 27) and Oasis at (Marlay Park, July 16).
