Fan beaten at Snoop's show

Snoop Dogg and The Game's US tour is ending on a bad note after a fan was reportedly beaten onstage at a show on Saturday night.

Richard Monroe, 24, claims he was assaulted at the How the west wan one tour stop in Auburn, Washington after he was invited to join Snoop onstage.

Monroe claims his hero beckoned him to join him at the show, but when he found himself onstage, he was tackled by minders and kicked repeatedly by a gang that included the rap star himself.

The alleged victim also claims diamond studs were ripped from his earlobes, and his watch, cell phone and wallet were stolen.

Monroe was later taken to a nearby medical centre, where he was treated for bruised ribs, a broken nose and a bruised lip.

Authorities at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn have confirmed the incident.

A spokesman tells MTV News: "There was a gentleman onstage who was not part of the band who crept up behind Snoop and tried to put his arm around him, and at that time, Snoop's personal bodyguards intervened and carried him off the stage."

Snoop's publicist Meredith O'Sullivan confirms Monroe was treated as a security threat: "Any person who jumps onstage at a concert has to be interpreted as a security threat and an immediate risk to both the performers onstage as well as the fans in the audience."
