Eminem to headline Slane this year

Eminem, considered by many to be the world's most controversial rap artist, will headline the Slane Castle gig this year.

Eminem will be joined on stage by 50 Cent, the first time ever the acts will perform together despite their strong musical relationship.

He will perform on September 17, and it will be the last leg of his European tour.

The proprietor of the castle Henry Lord Mountcharles is not too concerned about the abusive lyrics the rapper sometimes uses.

"This is something we are all exposed to and he articulates stuff in a way which actually has a kind of terrible beauty to it and so I have absolutely no concerns whatsoever,'' he said.
