Backstreet Boys plan to surprise fans

Reformed boyband Backstreet Boys plan to surprise fans with their new album, with some entirely new musical directions.

The group, which includes the original line-up that recorded their last single five years ago, are promising to combine classic ballads with some more inventive pop.

Singer Nick Carter says: "The ballads are still there but we have also tried new stuff.

"I hope that people will be surprised, as there are so many different types of music on it."
