Versatile Schwimmer bemoans curse of Friends

David Schwimmer may be enjoying a varied acting career since leaving Friends, but he is frustrated he can't escape the stigma of Ross, his character in the hit show.

Schwimmer, 38, is currently preparing to appear at London's Gielgud Theatre in Neil LaBute's play Some Girl(s), but he is already resigned to the fact many unimaginative audience members will still see him as the nerdy palaeontologist from the long-running comedy, no matter how different his new role is.
