Williams sues imitator
A Robin Williams impersonator has agreed to stop posing as the actor after the Oscar-winning star sued him.
The actor accused Michael Clayton and manager Michael Pool of trying to defraud people by pretending to be the Hollywood star.
In his legal action, Robin Williams accused Mr Clayton going to "great lengths to dupe" the Missouri fire department and fundraisers by saying that the real Robin Williams would attend a benefit event.
To convince the Missouri fund-raisers he was the real thing, Mr Clayton telephoned organisers and launched into a speech from the movie Mrs Doubtfire.
When the facts were uncovered, fundraisers called off the benefit, allegedly losing $45,000 (€35,600).
Mr Clayton also gave an interview to a reporter from Minnesota's Star-Tribune newspaper as Robin Williams, which was later retracted by the paper.
