Liam Gallagher tipped for mobster movie
Oasis star Liam Gallagher is tipped to make his acting debut as a villain in forthcoming British gangster film The Apprentice.
The $26.6m (€21.2m) movie - starring Full Monty actor Robert Carlyle - will tell the real-life story of convicted Glasgow gun-runner Paul Ferris inspired by his biography The Ferris Conspiracy.
Producers are in talks with the rock hardman to play the part of a mobster boss Mr Big Paul Massey - who is currently serving 14 years for a stabbing in 1999.
Ferris' biographer Reg McKay says: "Yes, Liam has expressed interest in the part. Paul Massey is a big fan of Liam and thinks he will be brilliant."
