Cowell defends Abdul over alleged affair

Simon Cowell has defended Paula Abdul, his co-judge on 'American Idol', who is alleged to have had an affair with one of the show's contestants.

Simon Cowell, who is often seen arguing with the 80s popstar on the US show, said he's never seen anything untoward in all of the years he's worked with her.

However, the judge, dubbed Mr Nasty for his biting comments on the show, is scathing about Corey Clark, the contestant who is making the allegations that he slept with Paula.

He says Corey Clark managed to sing the worst song he'd ever heard on the show.

Paula Abdul, during an appearance on 'Saturday Night Live' last weekend, took part in an interview spoofing Clark's allegations.
