Animal rights campaigner Pamela Anderson was horrified when she was asked to shoot a television scene with a live chimpanzee - and abruptly refused.

Anderson, famed for her work with People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), has been filming US television show Stacked with actor Christopher Lloyd, who plays a retired scientist traumatised by memories of sending primates into outer space for NASA.
