British funnyman Martin Freeman has devastated fans by announcing his plans to quit comedy for good.

The star shot to fame in hit British TV comedy The Office, and has garnered international acclaim as Arthur Dent in amusing new sci-fi movie The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.
