Kylie upset at missing Neighbours special

Despite being the Aussie princess of pop, Kylie Minogue hasn’t forgotten her television roots.

The singer has expressed her disappointment at not being able to star in a one-off special celebrating the 20th anniversary of Neighbours.

Kylie, who played poodle-permed Charlene Robinson in the Australian soap, wanted to join stars such as Delta Goodrem and Russell Crowe in the celebrations but her request to shoot scenes in Britain was rejected.

Over 11 nights she performed to almost 110,000 fans and the glam show is set to be one of the biggest grossing tours of the year.
