Pierce reveals 007 heartbreak
Pierce Brosnan has revealed he was so traumatised after losing the coveted role of James Bond that he struggled to muster the words to tell his family and friends of the "painful" news.
The 51-year-old had fully expected to reprise the part of the world famous 007 and was left devastated when movie bosses told him his services were no longer required.
Brosnan says: "Losing Bond hurt me like mad. It was a shock - painful and unexpected. I was sure I would make a fifth film. I knew it would be my last and my life revolved around this certainty.
"Telling my wife Keely and friends was torture."
