Michael auctions car on eBay
Pop star George Michael is auctioning his car on the internet to raise money for his favourite charities.
The black Range Rover – registration J5 STUD – is up for sale on eBay.
It comes complete with a “massive” stereo system perfect for playing the former Wham! Star’s hits.
The car made headlines in 1992 when it was clamped as Michael prepared for a night out with supermodel Linda Evangelista.
The Range Rover has been kept recently at his father’s stud farm in Cyprus - hence the registration.
The advert on website eBaymotors.co.uk says: “This is a unique opportunity to own a car owned by one of the most talented singer/songwriters of modern times.
“It is without question a one-off, as this gentleman’s vehicles never see the private ad columns and would normally be handed down to family or friends.
“The proceeds of this sale will be going to worthy causes.”
The bidding closes on April 26 and has so far attracted £4,800 (€7,000).
A spokeswoman for Michael said: “George has decided to sell the car to raise money for his favourite charities.”
