Aussie film fest to raise funds for motor neurone disease

A fundraising film screening with a difference will take place at the Irish Film Institute on April 24 as part of the Dublin Australian Film Festival.

A fundraising film screening with a difference will take place at the Irish Film Institute on April 24 as part of the Dublin Australian Film Festival.

The fundraiser will see a champagne brunch followed by a screening of Strange Bedfellows, the recent Paul Hogan comedy.

The event will raise funds for the Paxton/Cusack Fellowship Fund which was established by Dr Neil Tubridy, Consultant Neurologist, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin, to conduct much-needed research into Motor Neurone disease.

Tickets for the event are priced at €50 and are available from Trish Crerar on 086 356 7373.

The Dublin Australian Film Festival runs at the IFI until April 28.
